A little bit about me

I am a professional data analyst and researcher with a variety of interests. I currently work with machine learning in R and Python to analyze chronic illness data, specifically Long Covid and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). My main project is developing a dynamic screener for diagnosing ME/CFS using as few questions as possible, while maintaining high classification accuracy and validity. The motivation for this is minimizing energy required for self-report measures, which may pose barriers to patients struggling with fatigue. My work also involves managing large datasets related to personal records and clinical information for longitudinal studies for multiple NIH grants, through which I learned SQL.

In my spare time, I tinker with animation, coding projects in Python (like this website!), and occasionally filmmaking and graphic design. I hope to upload some of my artistic work in the coming months.

Throughout college, I did freelance design and videography for non-profit organizations, small businesses, and events. I continue to volunteer for design projects when they arise; recently, I created several infographics for my workplace to help visualize the NIH grant subaward lifecyle at DePaul. After college, I worked for some time as a counselor for adolescents, helping them set and reach therapeutic goals.

I love learning new things and exploring ideas with people. Reach out to me by email and I would love to hear from you.
